Description

The Kamudo, Vol. 1 Paperback is the first volume of a new fantasy series by Akira Himekawa, the creators known for adapting The Legend of Zelda manga. This story introduces an original fantasy world filled with mythology, divine beings, and conflicts between humans and supernatural forces, set in a time before humanity fully claimed its place in history.

The narrative takes place in the utopian nation of Ryujinkyo, where the skies of Hinoaruchi are ruled by demi-beings under the guardianship of sacred dragons. The birth of Kamuna, the first human child born with both human form and a dragon’s left hand, disrupts this world and raises questions about whether he is a sign of destruction or salvation.

As Kamuna begins training in the ancient martial art ryuken, he struggles to prove himself in a society that fears and doubts his existence. At the same time, he develops a growing rivalry with the powerful demi-dragon Gindu, while political tensions and external factions begin to threaten the fragile balance of Ryujinkyo.
