Jiraiya is one of the most iconic and beloved characters in the Naruto series. He was one of the legendary "Three Sannin" of Konoha, alongside Tsunade and Orochimaru. He mentored Minato Namikaze and later became a teacher to Naruto Uzumaki, passing down techniques, philosophy, and ideals. Jiraiya played a vital role as a shinobi of Konoha, particularly as a spy and strategist. During the Third Great Ninja War, he gathered intelligence and worked to minimize losses. Though he was offered the position of Hokage after Hiruzen Sarutobi's death, he declined, believing he wasn’t fit for political leadership. Instead, he dedicated his life to monitoring threats like Akatsuki and supporting the next generation.

Jiraiya died during a mission in Amegakure, trying to uncover the truth about the leader of Akatsuki. He faced Pain (Nagato), one of his former students. Despite his skill and experience, he was defeated after a fierce battle. However, he managed to send vital information back to Konoha before his death. His death was tragic but pivotal in Naruto’s development and in exposing the truth about Akatsuki.

Jiraiya is considered one of the most beloved characters because of his unique mix of humor, strength, and humanity. Though often portrayed as silly and light-hearted, he carries deep wisdom and selflessness within him.
