The basic premise of Tokyo Revengers follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old man living a miserable life, full of failures. One day, he learns that the only girlfriend he ever loved, Hinata Tachibana, and her younger brother, have been murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang, a notorious delinquent group. Shortly after, Takemichi is pushed in front of a train, but instead of dying, he is sent 12 years back into the past, to his middle school days. He discovers he has the ability to travel back and forth in time by shaking someone's hand. His goal is to change the future and save Hinata, by infiltrating the Tokyo Manji Gang and attempting to alter the events that led to her murder, through tough battles and dangerous decisions.
