Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese manga series set in an alternate reality where ghouls, cannibalistic ‘monsters’ who look exactly like normal humans but survive only by eating human flesh, live among the human population in secret, hiding their true nature to evade pursuit from the authorities. The series led to an anime of the same name, following the story of Ken Kaneki after he is transformed into a half-human, half-ghoul. The sequel, Tokyo Ghoul:re, follows amnesiac Kaneki under his new identity as Haise Sasaki, the result of severe brain damage from Kishō Arima. Haise becomes the mentor of a special team of CCG investigators called the “Quinx Squad,” who underwent a similar procedure to Kaneki’s, granting them the special abilities of Ghouls to fight them, while still living as normal humans.
This Pop! features Hinami Fueguchi, a ghoul whose parents were killed by ghoul investigators. She was a member of Kaneki’s group before joining Aogiri Tree to grow stronger.
