The Pokémon Trading Card Game (Pokémon TCG) is a strategic collectible card game where players use Pokémon cards, energy cards, and trainer cards to build powerful decks and battle each other. Each player constructs a 60-card deck, combining Pokémon for battles, energy cards to power attacks, and trainer cards that provide strategic advantages during gameplay. The goal is to defeat the opponent by collecting all of their prize cards, which are earned each time you knock out one of their Pokémon.

The game is built around strategy, timing, and card synergy rather than pure luck. Success depends on how well you build your deck and how effectively you adapt it during matches against different opponents. This makes every game dynamic, competitive, and highly replayable, appealing both to collectors and competitive players.

In the Pokémon TCG, Booster Packs, Blister packs, and Elite Trainer Boxes (ETB) are different product types that offer cards in different formats and quantities. A Booster Pack is the simplest option and contains a small number of random cards from a specific set, mainly used for collecting and opening packs. A Blister pack is similar but usually includes one booster pack plus an extra item such as a promo card or a coin, giving slightly more value. An Elite Trainer Box (ETB) is the most complete option, containing multiple booster packs along with accessories like sleeves, dice, and energy cards, making it ideal for both collectors and competitive players building decks.

The most valuable Pokémon TCG cards are usually those that combine rarity, historical importance, and strong collector demand. Highly sought-after cards include 1st Edition prints from early sets, especially when they are in excellent condition. The Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution — Pitch Black is officially set to release worldwide on July 17, 2026, and Greece follows the same global release schedule through European distribution. This means products such as booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and other sealed items will become available in Greek stores on or around the official launch date.

Before the main release, there will also be pre-release events from July 4 to July 12, 2026, where players can access early gameplay products like Build & Battle kits. The full expansion then becomes widely available on July 17, 2026.
